Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic, engaging, and knowledgeable Mid-Level News Anchor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in journalism, excellent on-air presence, and a commitment to delivering unbiased, accurate news to our community. As a key member of our news team, you will co-anchor our evening newscasts, conduct interviews, and participate in special news programming.

Key Responsibilities:

• Co-Anchor News Segments: Confidently and professionally co-anchor evening and special news broadcasts. Effectively engage with co-anchors, correspondents, and guests on air.

• News Reporting and Writing: Research, write, and edit news stories. Ensure all content is accurate, timely, and unbiased.

• Interviewing: Conduct in-depth interviews with guests, ranging from community leaders to national figures, ensuring a balance of perspectives.

• Community Engagement: Represent the station at community events and participate in community service activities. Engage with the audience through social media and other platforms.

• Collaboration: Work closely with producers, reporters, and the technical team to develop and refine broadcast content.

• Editorial Input: Participate in editorial meetings, contributing ideas for stories and segments.

• Live Reporting: Provide live reporting from the field as required, demonstrating poise and clarity under pressure.

• Compliance with Standards: Adhere to journalistic ethics and standards, and comply with all federal, state, and local laws regarding broadcast media.
