NIMBUS Holdings Pvt. Ltd. formerly Nimbus Marketing was founded in the year 1998 as a partnership with an objective of import and export of various consumer products (foodstuffs). The original activities of the company consisted mostly of the import of consumer goods such as confectionary from India and distributed all over the country through retail and wholesale. During its initial phase the company was started with only few people. It gradually shifted its business to agribusiness sector. It started to import soyacake and maize from India and distributed all over Nepal. Nimbus International Company P. Ltd was established in 2000. It mainly deals with trading of animal health and nutrition. It imports vitamins, vaccines and veterinary medicines from multinational companies like ELANCO USA, Adisseo FRANCE, Alltech USA, Merial FRANCE and used its rural distribution network to market these products all over the country. It also started a feed supplement manufacturing unit, focusing on exports to India, graduated to marketing feed supplements in the local markets by creating an effective rural distribution network. All these activities and experience led to the path of setting up, Probiotech Industries Pvt. Ltd in 2004, the first pellet feed mill in Nepal.

As a Merchandiser for our Trading Export Import Company, you will play a pivotal role in sourcing, procuring, and managing merchandise for both import and export operations. This position involves close collaboration with suppliers, ensuring quality standards, and optimizing inventory management to meet customer demands and achieve company objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Sourcing and Procurement:

  1. Supplier Selection: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conducting negotiations, and securing favorable terms and pricing.

  2. Product Selection: Work closely with product development and management teams to select the merchandise that aligns with market demand and company objectives.

  3. Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure products meet the required standards.

  4. Pricing and Terms: Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and shipping conditions with suppliers to secure competitive rates.

Inventory Management:

  1. Stock Control: Oversee inventory levels and maintain accurate records to optimize stock levels and minimize excess or shortages.

  2. Stock Replenishment: Coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment of merchandise, optimizing reorder points.

Supply Chain Coordination:

  1. Logistics and Shipping: Manage shipping arrangements, working with logistics partners and carriers to ensure efficient and cost-effective transportation of goods.

  2. Customs Compliance: Ensure compliance with import and export regulations, including documentation and permits.

Reporting:

  1. Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and report on procurement and inventory performance.
